The 2009 VIWF, October 18th-25th

Don't you just love this time of year? New fall titles are on the bookshelves and countless authors are on tour promoting their new books. Don't miss the 22nd annual Vancouver International Writers & Readers Festival, taking place on Granville Island from October 18-25, 2009. The VIWF is putting on 66 exciting events (check out the Event List) featuring authors and storytellers from all over the world. In addition, the festival is presenting four thrilling special events featuring Ian Rankin, David Sedaris, Margaret Atwood, and a tribute to Alice Munro (the author will be in attendance).

Also, UBC Creative Writing Faculty member, Rhea Tregebov, will be taking part in The Mini Poetry Bash (Event #44) and Dig Deep (Event #51).

Throw on a rain jacket, tuck an umbrella under your arm, and immerse yourself in a world of words at the Vancouver International Writers Festival.

  5. Ooh! You should come. The ticket salesperson kind of made fun of me for buying a single ticket.

    I love Adrian Tomine...
