Seripop: Canadian Art That Doesn't Suck

If you’re anything like me (deeply shallow and easily seduced by flashy design) then you do judge each and every book by their cover.

Hooking up with illustrators whose work will grasp an audience by their balls and force them to read your writing is of huge importance, but where can one find such ball-grasping artists? We wanted to open up the blog to our favourite emerging (or established!) Canadian art-doers whose illustrations + aesthetic we love.

SERIPOP is a Montréal collective (made up of Chloe Lum and Yannick Desranieau) who design graphic art, gig posters, prints, and structural installations are completely original. Orgasmic panda bears, deranged smiley faces, and weird wormy dudes- Seripop tackles a wide breadth of subject material. They are also made up of members of the rad noise-rock band, AIDS Wolf. Check out their work here!
